According to the provisions of the directive, the following machines do not fall within the scope of this directive:
◇ Designed and manufactured as lifting and / or transporting equipment for passengers, whether loaded or not, except industrial trucks equipped with lifting operators.
◇ Machinery directly powered by manpower only, unless it is used for piling up goods.
◇ Medical machinery in direct contact with patients.
◇ Special equipment for outdoor squares or amusement parks.
◇ Steam boilers, tanks and pressure vessels,
◇ Machinery specially designed or applied for nuclear energy use will cause radiation energy leakage in case of accidents.
◇ Radiation components form part of the machine.
◇ Storage tanks and conveying pipelines for gasoline, diesel oil, flammable liquids and hazardous substances.
◇ Means of transport: means of transport and trailers that transport people and / or goods through public transportation networks such as roads, railways, waterways and in the air shall be regarded as means of transport. However, transport vehicles used in the mining industry are included in this directive.
◇ Vessels equipped with relevant equipment and offshore mobile equipment.
◇ Cable cars for public or private transportation, for carrying people, and cable cars pulled by ropes.
◇ For agricultural and forest traction machines, please refer to the first paragraph ( 1 ) of Article 1 of Directive 74/150EEC, as defined in the relevant decrees concerning the type certification of European city harmonic wheeled agricultural or forest traction machines. The Directive was finally amended by Directive 88/29/EEC ( 2 ).
